i should be dead.  during this trip there were multiple times, actually within the 15 hours of each other, that death was an inch a way, a second longer, an ounce less of water.  this is not to boast, for only fools boast that they should be dead.  rather this is to bring to the forefront of this series the importance of these fotografs.  the Lord is merciful.
after a night of restless sleep on top of this cliff, i awoke before the sun arose in order to document it's rising and grabbed both cameras (film and digital) to do so.  after i had shot a full roll of bw, i soon realized i had accidentally set the camera iso opposite the speed film; furthermore, i completely forgot to compensate for this early early morning error in the development process.  the end result is complete satisfaction. i am very glad that i screwed up everything.  the memories of the day before (for example, nearly falling from the cliff) where reflected upon the glory of the morning next.  enjoy.

these are fotografs in my library that i recently became aware of.  i made these at various times this past year.  i wanted to resurrect the moments.  simple sayings act as the catalyst for understanding their clandestine seconds.

i wanted to share a few fotos from my alma-mater during it's homecoming.
there was a foot ball game, i simply didn't want to make any fotos of it.  instead i made pictures of the alumnae rugby game.  and i caught a few fotos of the crowning and a few from my cookout.

grove city college.

for those who have waited patiently to see Jack Flash and the reef.  (NB: if you have no clue to whom or what i am referring, please see the previous post).  i am by no means an expert at panoramas nor at stitching fotos together.  so i avoided both of them and put four pictures really, really, really close to one another in order to try to relay to y'all the 'rock stampede'.
foto one) the car
foto two) as we approach the reef
foto three, four, five, six, seven) Jack
foto eight) said hilletts.  i let him off here and he made his way to the far mountains.
foto nine, ten, eleven, twelve) the four close fotos, but not stitched, of the reef
all others) reef
all other others) other side of the reef --  well, actually the last few are of dragon's canyon.

this post was meant for yesterday, but i forgot to post it.  so much for trying to post for 365 days in a row.  here's to fulfillment!

Love the scenery pictures; they look like I could reach out and touch them!

Jonathan, your sense of humor is great. I love the 'wrong way' shot.
