are you available for travel for wedding and portraiture sessions?
- absolutely! i love to travel and i do it often! i like meeting and exploring new cities with new people.
on average, how many weddings do you book a year?
- i book up to 25 weddings a year. this gives me more time to focus on you and to make sure you're taken care of.
why do you shoot film?
- for me, film is what allows me to achieve a specific aesthetic. it also allows me to achieve that aesthetic straight out of the camera. i'm not interested in spending hours upon hours behind a computer editing pictures. film gives the opportunity to focus on composition and because of it's beautiful colors i never have to worry about post-production.
what's included in each package?
- all complete wedding packages vary accordingly. yet every package includes an engagement session and a box of prints from the entire wedding.
how many pictures do you take per wedding?
- lots!! if i'm not making pictures, i'm changing rolls so i can make more. to say the least, your wedding will be well documented.
what is the turn around to receive my prints and album?
- print orders are received through a first-come, first-serve process. allowing for development, scanning, printing, and delivery time your order will be shipped within three weeks from placing your order. because albums are individually designed by me, the total process from concept to finished product takes roughly eight weeks.
what kind of equipment do you use?
- contax, bronica, and nikon, all which are film. i do own a video camera, the nikon d3s, which is used to make motion-pictures, see example of my motion pictures: http://vimeo.com/11566377
what do I need to do to book j.frey photography for my wedding, and how much is the investment?
- first, contact me and let's begin discussing what you're looking for! from there a $1000 deposit along with your contract is required to reserve your wedding date with j.frey photography. local wedding coverage begins at $2900. local portraiture sessions begin at $400. your wedding is not a day to just pick anyone to snap photos, grandma does that already (sort of). you are investing in someone to document and represent one of the most important days of your lives.

- up to 90 minutes of picture making bliss within a 30 mile radius of indianapolis, indiana. if you have a special place where you'd like to take pictures, let's make pictures there! but don't worry if you don't have any place in mind, i have plenty of suggestions and great ideas for pictures. your personal, online gallery will be available within 3-5 weeks after our session together. all prints and digital files, unless otherwise stated, are available รก la carte. local portraiture sessions begin at $400. the session price is due at the time of scheduling.
