i threw this together (mostly) while on the plane back from zambia. i
was out there doing promotional work for a university (not this
obviously), so this motion picture describes what i saw - no real rhyme
or rhythm to this, just stuff. NB: there is a glitch on the audio, currently fixing that.
thank you all for your support while i was travelling. it was truly a blessing to see the work the Lord is doing in zambia; i don't necessarily mean with ACU per se, but in terms of the gospel and its spread. yes, there is a vibrancy among the churches, a real maturity. but what i delighted in most was the fellowship of believers. my heart yearns for that fellowship here in the usa. i don't mean believer to believer fellowship but rather church to church. such a candidness and givingness among the churches. to be surrounded by so many churches that preach Christ crucified, and Him crucified for sinners is joy insurmountable.
my prayers are not only that the Lord would continue His work with raising up more and more churches in zambia, but as well as plant more and more churches here, right in little ole indianapolis. this is a desolate place in need of the gospel. people might be friendly and "moral" but without Christ really this is a facade, a reliance on good works, white washed tomb syndrome. we are monsters of iniquity. and without a sight of a holy God and a sight of oneself before Him, people will remain in their state and not see the glory of Christ and who He is for sinners. this city is need of churches to faithfully preach the gospel, and this will only happen by the power of God. indeed, pray for the harvest and workers.

(hit play, then pause it immediately to let it load fully; once loaded, hit play again)
what a blessing to know this family and what a privilege to make a motion picture of their kids. i enjoyed every minute of this because it's not hard to have little ones run and play and swim. i look forward to making more films like this...
fotos are from last summer by the way
music: Ray LaMontagne

That was gorgeous... and so inspiring!
i dig this so much. i wish i knew you when i was in indy. what church do you go to?
thank you, chester. i go to Providence Reformed Baptist (www.prbcindy.com); a real blessing to be a part of a church that clings to Christ alone.
Nice capture of life ... and I appreciate your contrast of the church. Thanks!
