sometimes friends need to be highlighted, this is one. Lucas came out from philly to help me document a wedding. and, well, we made some rad fotos. he's great and it was a blessing to have him along for the journey and to be able to talk of the Lord and encourage one another. these were either at 50mm f/2 or 85 f/2 (the only two lenses and settings i use) using 1600 BW FUJI NEOPAN.the last few are of me by lucas. man, my mustache looks huge (and gorgeous).

senior film of Rachel...
this was wonderful a experience, and Rachel's sister's joined us and got to observe the whole process. this was the same location of Rachel's senior fotos. you can see her senior fotos here. Rachel is a lovely, godly girl; it's been a blessing to become close friends her family and her over the past years. i've included a bunch of film (like 35mm and medium format, aka still fotos, not to be confused with motion pictures). this was shot on a nikon d3s. to watch in HD, watch in the vimeo website. music: Ray LaMontagne.

had the privilege of spending the day with new friends last month up in canton, mi. Joel and Krystle, wow. they are spectacular. Krystle was so dang sweet, not to mention gorgeous. Joel is incredibly laid back with a wonderful sense of humor - cuz he knows "how i roll in carmel, in."
it was a blessing, and i don't say that trivially. not only to be around other believers the whole day, but to have the gospel faithfully proclaimed during the ceremony. i believe it's a mistake to not think that marriage is a picture of the gospel. Christ loving the church and His people is not an example of a husband loving his wife; really it's the other way around. the marriage i witnessed and witness often demonstrates the marriage of Christ and His bride (the church) first. thank you J & K for letting me witness a great celebration. congratulations!!! come down to good ole indy for a visit sometime soon!
so what we got going on here is yet again another combo of film and digital. can you tell the difference? $20 to starbucks if you can tell me five color film fotos.

Hey Jonathan,
Great pictures. I think, the first two, the flower vase picture, tenth and ninth picture counting from last are the pictures taken with film.
Waiting for some caffeine,
Ram.

now here's a wonderful couple, Kirk and Laura, that i met a year and a half ago. they are super special and super sweet (Kirk even said he liked my mustache). the wedding was just so relaxed and a joy to document. their ceremony was at Christ's Church Cathedral on the circle, it's a very beautiful to say the least. then we boogied on down at the Mavris, or they boogied and i made fotos (okay, okay, i boogied a little). i'm super excited about these fotos. a bunch of them are digital, but a good amount is film. congratulations, K & L!! i'm glad were friends! have a good ole time in el Mexico!
