beautiful people make beautiful everything.  not to mention, Michael and Lauren are incredibly good looking.  their powers combined, Captain Planet will be out of work.

when thinking up how to describe these individuals, it was a blessing to reflect on who they are.  believers who seek the Lord first - who enjoy the glorious nature of who Christ is for sinners.  the gospel flowing out of their hearts.  consequently, these two are the real deal.  a constant esteeming others above them - meekness - humility - sincerity - patience - joy - ad infinitum. 

it is always a tremendous blessing to document and be a part of friends' weddings.  actually - it's my favorite thing.  a constant reunion of old friends and old memories. 

Michael and Lauren were married in pittsburgh at the bellefield presbyterian church in downtown oakland.  fantastic day for a splendid gathering of love.

i recently travelled to philadelphia.  i saw friends that i missed and miss now.  myself and three others won the gingerbread contest (the last one featured).

furthermore, i am delighted.  two thousand eleven and i are going steady. 

as my good friend Michael would say, "before the witch of winter of comes, there is the glorious foretaste of paradise in fall."  all right so he was only complaining about winter and i added in the part about fall.  notwithstanding the terrible mezcla of a quote, the theme is true.  fall gives us a golden retreat - to get away from the to-and-fro of summer and relax in crispy leaves.  for my family, fall also gives us the opportunity to make homemade apple butter (this is a link to last year's fotos).  a fall family tradition that unfortunately was arrested by a fire ban this year because of a severe drought.  despite the set backs, many of us came together at my grandparents' farm to catch up and play.  so here are those fotos.
